Landslides and mudslides have affected Suichuan County in Jiangxi Province, China, and the Mount Fuji area in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, after heavy rain. In China, the slides damaged homes and led to deaths and missing persons; in Japan, a landslide disrupted one of Mount Fuji’s main climbing starting points, with no confirmed casualty figures reported.

Heavenly Father, we praise You for Your mercy, wisdom, and steady care over all nations. We lift up China and Japan, and especially those near Mount Fuji where a landslide disrupted access after heavy rain. We pray for the affected people, their families, and the responders serving with care and courage. Give leaders wisdom, calm, and clear decisions; bring healing where there is injury or distress, and peace where there is fear or uncertainty. Jesus Christ, our refuge, remind us that You are near to the brokenhearted. Holy Spirit, strengthen our faith and guide our steps. We wait in hope in Christ. In Jesus-Christ's name we pray. Amen!
